O-Müll is a journal about the things that pass through a home: packaging, food, clothing, equipment, and garden materials. Its articles explore ways to organize, maintain, reuse, and eventually pass those things on.

Start with the job

A new purchase is not always the first useful step. Our selection guides consider storage space, cleaning, everyday use, and items already available. We do not present invented product tests or first-person experiences.

Local rules matter

The English edition is written for readers in the United States; the German edition addresses Germany. Recycling and collection programs vary locally.
